A party’s manifesto is expected to outline a suite of initiatives that address social and economic development. In addition to outlining key issues important to the organisation, it is expected to present its vision for the overall advancement of the country.
An examination of the manifestos recently released by two political parties – We Invest In Nationhood (WIN) and Forward Guyana – reveals that the documents were not only hurriedly prepared, but out of touch with reality and fraught with initiatives that are already being done or accomplished by the governing PPP/C.
